Jon is an award-winning multidisciplinary designer and illustrator working in Boston, MA.

I believe when design and visual communications are approached with care and passion, the results can share a powerful story that leave lasting impressions.

When it comes to starting a new project, we’ll discuss your ideas and concerns when it comes to progress, and I’ll design and build tools tailored to your project; clearly communicating and checking in with you along the way. When I’m not exploring motion graphics and binging animation, or dreaming of designing a beautiful skateboard or snowboard, I can be found looking at graffiti, cooking, listening to tasty jams, or enjoying some coffee or a cold pint.

My understanding of the world continues to improve as I explore the creative field. In upstate New York, I received my BFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology. I’m currently located in the Boston, MA area working toward my MFA. Let’s connect.

VALUES

Aim For The Moon, Land On The Stars
Setting a high bar excites me. At the same time, as a creator I have to embrace that life isn’t perfect. Being flexible to evolving circumstances is part of the job. That may mean simplifying an approach or a set of details for the greater goal of communicating the big idea. In the event that happens, no matter how the project shakes out, we will end up with something worth talking about.

Clear Communication
In my experience, successful projects happen when all parties are on the same page and clear about the action steps moving forward. When we work on a project, I want to understand what keeps you up at night. I aim to ask the right questions to build a sound strategy; so the end result is a solution that lasts.

Collaboration & Teamwork
When we’re able to vocalize our thought-process and bounce ideas off one another, stronger ideas come into play and smarter ways of approaching challenges reveal themselves.

Life Outside My Desk
Taking time away from my desk is just as important as the time spent at it. Walking outside, going to the gym, being with friends and family, and traveling the world gives me new lenses to view the challenge at hand and the bigger picture.

Learning Never Stops
Learning new skills on and off the job keeps me interested in what I’m doing. Whether it’s a skill like calligraphy or cooking, to a software or design-related skill like how to produce a special effect or detail, I aim for those skills to feed into what I do moving forward.

SKILLS THAT PAY THE BILLS
